Clarity - Streets of Glasgow -
Clarity
of vivid intensity
Air
purified after intense long downpour
Aftermath
of mighty storm blowing away old and passing
Something
intangible, yet altogether pure and yet untainted
Fills
with lightness, refreshing air; bristly sprite,
Morning
bright and clear following intense stormy night –
Sudden
awakening from gloomy lapse lost in darker places
Places
that have aged and become burdensome, no longer revitalising
Places
undesirable yet barely sensed or noticed,
Seeking
a way to other places, stumbling through rocky terrain
Of
souls journey in inky darkness without solace
Then,
this brightness of a new day dawned
In
brilliance of crystal clarity, so energizing –
Walking
down Jamaica street in Glasgow
North
of the river Clyde, before bridge over highway to places yonder
I
seek Wellington street, my voice startles an elderly gentleman
Scowling
face called forth to dark face of a stranger in a stranger place
A
sudden awakening of something to share and he mentions a restaurant that serves a good meal just before you turn right unto
50th Wellington street –
