I gave you all
All of myself
Spreading it all for you
Out of the joys of my hopes-
I brightened your world of gloom and sadness
And when you reach out to me with your smile
My world explodes in colours bright,
Joy unfounded-
When you had enough
You left me out in the dark
Uncaring, unconcerned
You took all my best
And gave me your worst-
When you had enough
You brought darkness into my light
You quenched desirable joy of life
And left me pretty sick-
Sick as you were
When my love healed you
Rescuing you from yourself
Bitter to dark heart, I relieved you-
Love of my life
Joy foregone, pain of my present
Never did you once
Consider my fragile emotions-
You only took what was good for you
And left me for worst
Mean dark soul; Trojan horse,
All that time you were gone-
When you lived it out there
I was slowly putting it all together again
The disarray you caused in my life
Leaving me frazzled and torn at edges-
Mean soul, now you are back again
You've been out there and seen it all
Had it all too, you did
Now you want my love back-
But, you came a little too late
This precious gift of mine
