Man Ought To Praise His Maker
Man lives by grace in a garden of wonderful provisions made to measure
Everywhere man turns he is held awestruck
Our God, this God, our only God is without measure, incomparable
Knowledgeable men enabled by Spirit of truth when insight is given
Cannot but burst into songs of praise
Marvelling at His unlimited wisdom and understanding
Wonderful beyond measure are his abundant provisions
Who stretches wide vistas of whole universes
For man his favourite handiwork to deliberate, on these things,
To wonder at how awesome God Almighty is -
Wonder of God’s awesome grandeur manifest in amazing works of incomparable greatness
Our Lord who made these great things of a measure that is at times far beyond man’s measure
Has freewill as to how He fulfils His handiwork
Yet, man has freewill in wisdom enabled
Given understanding and provided with knowledge
That in perceiving God’s grandeur unravelling before His senses
His awareness is awakened to that marvellous Father who gives
Requiring of man to acknowledge His Creator were it without cessations -
Thus the Virgin could in faith plain and simple
Proclaim praise in words plaintive ever plastered unto creation's songbook
“My soul glorifies the Lord
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,”
Man ought to always praise His maker
For gifts given, good things prepared beforehand
Pleasures of life in places beyond compare
All from a loving mind who has created man to be His work of joy -
Man ought to praise His maker
For a Father who corrects to redeem not to condemn
Were He who had all power not love
How could love be His foremost command;
To love your God and your neighbor as yourself? -
