Artistry of another kind rendering on blank canvas of mind entrapped
Oozing chocolate syrup
Melting delicacy dripping onto brains unloosed from their foundations-
Reality is a landscape floating over fading horizon
Diffusing
Tangy, salty taste of rivulets of sweat
Springing through these fertile valleys between these gentle mounds
Zephyr infused with aroma intoxicating, suffusing
Gentle hands graceful wave a sprinkling cloud of frankincense
Thurible in motion as glowing coals burn incense
Wafting fragrance, in censer of roiling spirits, uplifting
Lifting beyond flesh into higher realms
Intoxicating desire –
These tropical lands of acacias
Sun burnt and fragrant
Land burning in unrelenting heat pulsating
In heat at height of day silence like a cowl draped
Holds everything still in its unyielding grip
A grip that stretches its hold as though it were tensile steel taut
Drawn tight
Plucked once,
A high note resonating on a chord-
Suddenly,
A burst of flourishing perturbation
As birds burst forth from quiescent bush taking to air
Launching into brilliant sky in swarming obnubilation
